How to Measure a Wall for Fluted Panels
Measure square footage, plan waste, and estimate boxes for AGT fluted wall profiles before you request a quote.
Start with clean wall area
Measure height × width of each panel run in inches, then convert to square feet (÷ 144). Skip openings (doors, windows, niches) unless you plan to wrap them.
For multiple walls, list each run separately — coverage math and end pieces change at corners and terminations.
Add waste for cuts and rhythm
Budget 8–12% waste on straight residential walls. Add more for diagonal cuts, patterned alignment, or heavy door/window notching.
Fluted profiles look best when vertical rhythm stays consistent — waste often comes from discarding short leftovers that break the pitch.
Convert to boxes (when sold by box)
North America LB profiles publish square feet per box on the sell sheet. Divide net + waste sq ft by box coverage, then round up.
Always quote end closures (starter / end / corner pieces) with the main profile so the install does not stall mid-project.
